"Not Charging"

Hi, I managed to get a car phone charger but whenever I plug it in it gives me an error saying "Not Charging". What could possibly be the problem? Any help would be appreciate, thanks!

I'm getting this too when I use a standard Nokia charger or in-car charger with the little conversion lead that came with the N80, so I'm interested in the cause too.

Found this

some third-party chargers (or even older Nokia chargers) dont put out enough voltage to charge the phone. The phone sees the voltage as too low, so it aborts with the not charging message.

I can only guess that the same is true with car chargers. Some cheaper ones or older nokia ones just do not meet the requirements of the phone.

Yes that is exactly right - you will probably need a newer car charger that is N80 compatiable..

Ah good. Well not good, but i tried using my old charger and the adapter that came with the phone and got the not charging error today. I'll measure the voltage out of the car charger tomorrow and see how it compares with the wall charger.
