Does anyone else have a hard time sliding the cover off this phone, to access the battery? mine is impossible to slide off, any tips / hints?

also, i downloaded the latest sony update program, but cant get it to work, do you need to remove sim and start phone while holding down "c" with this phone?

thanks,

Hello, I've got the same problem with battery cover. It feels like I'm going to break my phone whilst trying to get the cover off.

wow I cant believe this is my first post in three years.

Same here regarding battery cover. try this, place your thumb in the middle top of the battery cover and firmly press it down while sliding outwards.

Hi all! Yes, the battery cover feels like it'll break when you try to take it off - especially if you close it without a battery inside. My style is to push it down where the two 'hooks' on the cover are. The logic here is that it should push down the hooks from the latches. My two cents 😊

As for the firmware upgrade, yes, I had to hold down the 'C' key which in the M600i case is not the letter 'C' but the backward arrow used to delete text entries.

Did it successfully - I'm now on R4A002.

Put three inches of sticky tape (masking tape is best) on the back and pull it off with that - works a treat.
