I have no problem using the web browser and email on both GPRS and Wi-fi, but none of the download links within particular apps work at all.
For example if I go to the Themes app and choose "download themes", nothing happens at all, zero, nowt.
Has anyone else actually managed to get these options working?

exactly the same thing is hapening to me i feel like formating the e 61 but i dont think that will be the anser ...i bet is a bug i they will say to upgrade the software well for now i will use it like this ...
when i got it new it was working fine i just dont know what happend and by the way on the download they dont have any new themes and the ringers are the old ones so dont worry u are not missing nuthing ..so far ....and no games
I just wish it would give some kind of error message instead of not doing anything. At the moment it just feels frustrating.
Everything else on my E61 is working absolutely perfectly though, I guess I can't complain too much.
I get an error message.
The title bar says "Sorry" and on the blank white page underneath it says:
"The service is not available for this terminal."
For me, I've managed to download ringtones browsing from the E61 browser.

You can open these from Bookmarks in the Services browser (they're the same links). There's no content available though.

Yes, I can get all of this through the browser, it's just it doesn't work if I go through the options in the apps.
I doubt most people would persevere enough to go via the browser, which is a shame as it could be a great channel for selling impulse buy stuff. That's the kind of thing symbian apps need to reach the eyes of the general public: an option in as many apps as possible which lets people buy stuff straight onto their phone.
Awww those shortcuts links in the apps... sorry didn't get it in the first place...
Well yeah it doesn't work... =P no solutions from me 😉

Those links are provided for use by mobile operators. Since we all likely bought our E61 unbranded, these are all set to empty. I'm sure it's just a matter of setting the URL's in a system file.

Ahaaaa...
That does sound like the most likely explanation, and it would make commercial sense to have those links there in the context of a branded phone.
Thanks for that!
