Does anyone know how to enable SMTP authentication on the nokia 7650 ?
I use yahoo email and I access it throw the POP server. I can only get emails but I cant send any. 😞

me too!!! i have the problem the same with you... but i can send email through the same domain email.
for example my email add is [email protected] so i could send [email protected] but i cant send to [email protected]

Yes, I am in the same situation, and worst: neither my ISP allows me to send e-mail using their SMTP server when I am trying to connect via another ISP... 😞 I suppose that this restriction is for (obvious) security reasons.
very few ISPS will will let you send email through POP3 these days
blame the spammers for that
most will let you send if you dial use them for an ISP.
Im in UK. I have a dial up account with BTOpenworld set as an access point. I use this for doing my POP3 through a btopenworld mail box (actually my main email account)
Also, according to T-mobile, this is a local call number, therefore part of my free minutes package
i also posted this on another topic, but since this is more likely i will get answers, i guess ill post here too, besides, this topic is more related than at the other one i posted, so about my problem
im using the same settings as what i use on my outlook(R) , i can send and receive to and from anybody, the same goes when i am receiving on my 7650, the only different thing is that when i send, it only sends successfully on addresses with the same domain name, other than that, it gives me a sending failed, check email settings error message
