Vodafone Ireland don't support the N80 and say that they won't be releasing it in Ireland, as such Vodafone Live just displays text and no pictures, streaming video etc.
Is there anyway to make the N80's browser pretend to be another model such as the N70 or E61, which Vodafone Ireland do support?
Im with vodafone ie and got the phone sim free. The only thing i use vodafone live is 24hour banking and checking footie scores im not sure about streeming or pics but theres nothing on there worth wasting money on anyway
I'm with Voda in AU. Live works perfect.
Pictures, downloads, everything.

Unfortunately (for me) Vodafone Ireland say they will never be releasing the N80 themselves in Ireland, and when their Live portal detects an N80 it is flagged as unsupported and just displays text, no pics, Sky TV etc! 😞
In other counties where Vodafone sell the N80 there are no problems.
Hence my original query, can I make the N80's browser announce itself as another phone such as the N70?

n80 is still just about to be introduced here in AU and it is NOT supported by vodafone. That has nothing to do with running live on your n80.
so again.
Vodafone Australia NO support at all.
No detection of browser or anything.
Everything works OK.

I rang Vodafone Ireland and they told me their Live site checks to see what phone is accessing the site and ONLY displays the information for 'supported' models!
Had the same problem with a Sony Ericsson V800i which I flashed to Z800i, once the phone identified itself as a Z800i the Live site didn't work!

Does it matter? It's the fact I can access it is the annoying thing!

It doesn't matter to me, I live in Lithuania now, I was just interested thats all
