ok, when i open up the browser, it asks for connnection, but it only wants to connect to my home wifi, i cant seem to find a way to change it, until after it connects, which is fine, except when im not at home on my network, is there a way to choose which connection to use before connecting in the web browser?
n80 web browser problem
Try going into the options for the browser and choosing settings, think theres an option in there to select which access point to use.
One of the options should be ASK FIRST which checks to see what is available and lets you decide, eg WiFi, GPRS, 3G etc.
Hope that helps 😃
i can't seem to find a "settings" under the options menu in the web browser, can you be more specific as to where these settings are
Its defintely there. Go to the Boomarks page. Press the left hand soft key. (labelled Options). Go into Settings and it is all there.

Also try editing the bookmarked home page from the Bookmark manager - you can set specific access points per bookmark
i don't want to set access points for each page, i want it to ask me which connection to use when i open the browser, any way of doing this?
YES - choose the Always Ask option not one of the list Access Points.
Always Ask is not an option. When i go to bookmark settings, the options are "Default, Home(wifi), Internet-GPRS, Multimedia" the default is set to internet-GPRS
In that case set it to Default. And set the Default (which is the Access Point in Web's Settings) to Always Ask.
where do i set the default? onlytime i was able to set it, was on first launch, and always ask was not an option
Web-Options-Settings-Access Point-Always Ask
My point about the per-page connection option is that this seems to override any other setting you may have. Therefore you may have set "Internet GPRS" as your default, but if the page has Home (wifi) set it will attempt to use that instead.
At least that's what was happening with me when my N80 kept reverting to wifi

i go to Web, i choose Options, theres no "Settings", theres only , Open, Bookmark manager, mark/unmark, Navigation options, Tools, and Advanced options, i see NOWHERE a place to set access point to always ask,
im using firmware:
v 3.0617.0.6

Cancel any page downloads and go to the bookmarks list page, then hit "Options" and you should see more options than when on a web page.
yes theres MORE options, but still not the options to have it choose which access point.
Use the bottom arrow key to scroll past Advanced options and you'll find Settings. It's not visible until you arrow down.
