Where are my Sent Messges?

Just found something strange on my E70.

I live in London, and occasionally drive to work - paying the congestion charge. I do this by SMS - sending a code from my mobile with is registered with my car details.

I went to Sent Items, as the first text message I sent when I got the phone was a Congestion Charge SMS, to forward it, rather than look up the number and re-enter it - but the message wasn't there. Symbian/Nokia only hold "Sent" SMS messages for a few days (or possibly it's the last 20 sent messages)

The Inbox does not seem to have this restriction and coming form a Windows Mobile device, which stored every message, this is very poor. Am I missing a setting, or will I have to regularly save any key sent messages to a folder?

You can change the settings on number of save sent messages:
Menu > Messages > Options > Settings > Other > No. of saved msgs.

For your case I would suggest making a new template for it 😉

My Sent Messages definitely appear in the Sent Messages folder, and I too, am not happy about the limitations, but I set my E61 to store what appears to be the maximum number, 999.

Many Thanks - I just missed the "Other" setting.
