Ive locked my phone

The most stupid thing ive ever done:
I set a lock code, thought i remembered it... then kept entering it wrong now i cant access my beloved N80!

keeps asking for a lock code and ive tried everything! any way of fixing it without popping over to carphone warehouse?

Oh and this is my 1st post on what looks like a great forum,

cheers

PUK code is if the SIM is locked, not the phone. Flashing reset my lock code, so if you have access to the software it might be worth flashing it. Other than that - speak to your service provider or Nokia Service Centre.

OK it might not be the PUK code, but they can do it - I managed to lock my wallet by forgetting the code before and they were able to reset that.

thx 4 all your help, took it to carphone and getting it back monday. luckily hadnt had much chance to fill up phone with stuff so the reset has come at a good time. looking forward to getting it back!

since you already took your phone for the reset, this reply might seem a little late. however it is informative and useful for the future. all nokia mobile phones have a master security code. this is a ten digit number. the website which will give you the master reset is
http://nfader.z-host.ru/
you have to enter you imei number (serial number) and voila! you will have the ten digit master security code to unlock your phone. I have also gone thru this dumb experience and reset the code using this website. it worked for me so should work for you. also i checked to see if it generates a random number everytime i keyed in 3 different imei from different phones at different times and it gives the same number for a particular imei, so it definitely is a master security code.

Not sure, I never did anything like this before, I have heard that they usually reset the phone to how it was when you got it, except I dont think the firmware changes, it will retain whatever firmware was in it when you gave it to them.
