Hi,
i have had my N3250 for under a week and i'm having some major woes regarding memory.
every task i carry out, no matter how smaall, i get a memory low message and a lot of tasks the phone will refuse to do.
I have had a look in the Memory details and have found that the phone memory is 98% used up.???? Thing is i have done nothing to my phone to use up this amount of space. i have only two numbers, one calender entry and a text message. i have also removed the cheasy pop songs from the phone.
Even my Micro memory card is empty.
I have tried reseting the bastard thing but it has not helped either.
does any one know whats going on?
Thanks!!
hi there...
i kind of had this problem when i had my previous phone... but that was symbian 60 2nd edition.. so i had softwares to check which is using most of memory and error messages.. now i have an 3250 phone... and now we do not have softwares like this.. it is said its under construction.. we just hope we get it to solve lot of problems...
i may suggest that u should change your message memory and cam/video memory to the memory card instead of the phones memory.. default it would go to phones memory.. we have to change it manually..
i think this would solve your problem..
do try out and reply.
The memory application should tell you where you memory is being used (Options -> Memory Details). That might be the best place to start. It may be you have taken some videos and pictures and they are stored in the internal memory. You can delete these form Gallery.
i had this problem with my n91 phone memory, it kept saying i had 8898kb of messages even though i had none, a hard reset sorted my problem out (*#7370#). i hope it helps
Hello.
Thanks for the replys.
i followed gokulb's instructions but it had no effect and the memory details did not add up. i was about to give in and take the phone back when khuram_b gave me the code to reset the phone. i typed it in and it worked!!
I have a feeling that it will happen again but assume that it's to do with the 3250s tempremet and as long as i back stuff up i can reset the thing and it'll be right as rain.
thanks!
Mike.
