Ewan's been trying out a Bluetooth novelty. BlueRader will scan for specific Bluetooth smartphones in your vicinity and alert you when they're close by. Plenty of suggestions for use and a few caveats in Ewan's review. (There's also a S60 3rd Edition in development, by the way)

Oh if only people would listen..
Last time I was stuck in the cashier's queue at a large supermarket I scanned for nearby devices and counted more than 30 unhidden Bluetooth devices (most with the original device name giving manufacturer and model details) as well as two Bluetooth-capable tills 😮
Unfortunately for ease of setup manufacturers still leave Bluetooth (and WiFi) in an insecure default state - until this is changed I don't think the security message won't get through to average consumer.
BlueRadar looks useful though. Roll on the 3rd Edition version..
