email setup - Please help!!!

Hey Guys & Gals!

I have my 7650 and am trying to configure it for email.

Using UK T-Mobile network, I have configured the mailbox settings with my pop/smtp details. It lets me collect mail via the wap service, no problem.

The problem is... when I try to send, it comes back "sending failed, check mail settings"

Is this due to me not using the t-mobile smtp server, if so, does anyone know what it is, if not please help...

Thanks in advance

H 😃

yes u should use ur operator smtp to send outgoing mail

but sorry i dunno the smtp server for t mobile

maybe somebody hav a list of operator smtp around the world or vodafone aaustralia ????

Talk about a quick response... Thanks

But if anyone does know the tmobile uk smtp server... that would be great

but you should create a GPRS internet account too! not the one for WAP but for the internet, as if you would use webviewer! i'm from switzerland and my operators smtp server is:

smt.sunrise.ch

maybe you should try with smtp.t-mobile.uk

it's just an idea !

Hi There,

I have set up a 't-email' account, which allows what I think your looking for. The in and outgoing servers are exactly the same. pop3.t-email.co.uk

You will obviously need to register an email account first. You also recieve free sms notification from here so you know wgether its worth while dialling in to collect mail.

Hope this helps!!

im having sorta of the same problem, i have an email account, i can receive my emails via pop, but i cant send thru my smtp, wat gives, i checked the settings on my outlook and it seems that they are both the same with my 7650, anybody who can help???
