Hi All,

I hope someone on here can help. I have an E60 and I need to edit the custom dictionary. To do that of course I need to find the file! I downloaded FExplore but is wont install. It comes up with a message "... not supported". I dont know if I have the correct version ro something. Therefore, I hope someone can help me with the following:

1. Provide a link to the correct version of FExplore for the E60
2. Advise me if I have to do anything to get it to install
3. Guide me through the process of editing the custom dictionary.

Thanks all, you guys on here are great!

Chris

I can help with the first 2; FExplorer isn't out yet for series 60 3rd edition, which includes all E-series phones. The word is that it's being worked on and should be available soon. This is the reason it will not install. Software for earlier series 60 versions is not compatible with the 3rd edition. As for where the custom dictionary is, some one else will have to provide that information.

I do not believe that the T9 dictionnary is a simple text file that you could edit just like that. It would be far to slow for the phone to look up entries among the dozens of thousands of word that it contains. It is probably stored in some kind of optimized database format and i serioulsy doubt that you can edit that without the database editor used to create it. If you want to add new words, you can do so by clicking the Spell button whenever you try to enter an unrecognized word in messaging or other applications.
