How Do I Format My N70

Warning this will erase everything on your phone. Make sure that you back up everything to an mmc card if possible
Switch of your phone
Press and hold these 3 keys together-
-green dial key-
-the star key(*)
-the number 3 key(very hard to do)
Press the on off switch to the phone
DO NOT let go of the keys until you see a formatting screen
After a few minutes the format will be complete,your phone will be back to factory settings
DISCLAIMER!!!I cannot be held responsible for anything thing that happens to your phone,use this guide at your discretion!!

i did sucessfully formating the phone, but now the memory card has been locked, password is needed. I did remember that thats no password entered be4, how can this happen....someone help me plz...!!!😮

Great problem... Only with password. Or try a formaton another software, i. e., with a card reader on Windows.

Use card reader to retrieve the data uuh.... i tried but not sucess cuz computer cannot recognize, it says its not formatted...
is there any way to track down the password?? maybe using software on the phone..... any pro of the pro there???? of God here, how nice....

or is there any defult pasword for it, im using kingston DV RS-MMC 1Gb

This problem has been argued a lot of times on this forum. My conclusion... seems don�t have one solution. But do a little search, on previous threads, and You go find a different answers for that kind of problem.

ya i know, there are threads which talking about phone lock, my my phone have no problem, only with the memory card, can tell me which thread talk about memory card password problem?? thx...😊

This ain't good. If you forgot you password and also format your phone then you can kiss it goodbye your MMC because nothing can get it to work again.

This may sound a little dumb....

But have you tried 0000 as a code (4 x zero)

i'm not sure but some suppliers of memorycards give lifetime quarantee.
secondly.. i had a problem with my nokia reading my memorycard. I had formatted my card but used the wrong formatting. so use i think fat instead of fat32. Then it managed to read it again. also 1234 is a common pasword and otherwise it will take you only 10000 times to try 😉
