Hi folks, can someone give me some straightforward instructions on how to get the Autolock v1.0 download installed and up and running on my Nokia N80.
So far I have downloaded the Autolock program to my PC, is it now possible to bluetooth it from my PC to my phone? (Yes my PC has a bluetooth dongle). Then once I have got it into my phone, where do I save it and how do I then get it up and running?
Thanks in advance.
You can either use the Install Applications part of the Nokia PC Suite from the PC, or bluetooth it to the phone. If bluetoothed it will show up in messages and opening the message will start the install.
HTH
Save it whereever you want, but probably on the phones memory would be best in that programs case.
I Matt,
Nothing to do with this thread, but I just wanted to give you the award for the name that made me laugh most 😊
Hi folks, I've got AutoLock installed now and it is making life with an N80 a little easier. If anyone else is wondering about installing this program then I recommend doing it.
That said I wouldn't mind a key locking program that automatically locks the phone when you slide it shut and doesn't release the key lock until you slide the phone fully open. Because sometimes I have found when the phone is in my pocket it is possible for the two buttons to be pressed simotaneously and the keylock turns itself off.

It does, but I think its a phone lock and not a keypad lock, and you have to input a password to unlock the phone

I use mlock all the time because as soon as I finish a call the phone goes straight into my pocket, I have mlock assigned to the right softkey so its easy to press after the end call key.
then as a backup I also have autolock that locks after about 20 seconds I think in case I forget to lock with mlock, they both actually work very well together.

mLock is really handy if you want to use the phone without opening the slide, e.g. to read a text etc as you can lock the phone easily without having to either open and then close the slide, or press the power button. Easily the most useful app yet for the N80.
