On Trading Softwares

Now I know its hard to trust in the net but... is there any site, any groups, any individual where/who can I trade my softwares in exchange of different softwares? Errr coz downloading proggys of 9210's seems to be very expensive and impractical.. well I gotta plenty of registered progs like doom, capsule, activedesk, code vault, zip manager, cobuild, checkers, vrally, dragonfie, meltdown, timetool, colors, task manager, external dicta, meltdown, etch... any1 wanna trade? I need a registered TERRAFORCE and External Extra.. errr is there anyone out there I can trust to trade with?

Hmmmm, it's a tough one but I don't think such a trading place would be good for the Symbian, or the 9210 in general - simply because developers would lose out.

I'm not suggesting that anybody would abuse such a place, but I think we need to do all we can to support those excellent developers who are trying to push the 9210's functionality.

This is how the PocketPC has grown and I'd love to see Symbian (more specifically for now, the 9200 series) grow likewise.

IMHO, Nice idea but on the net, I'd fear that the developers would lose out first (I'm not a developer).

Edited to take away e-mail address. I don't want this going on in the forum. Especially anonymously...[ This Message was edited by Rafe on 2002-01-26 2315 ]

This topic is very close to the edge (of being deleted) . However I'll leave it for the time being...

The touble with such exchanges is that it hurts the developers and is only border line legal (some liscenses allow it, others don't).

There's no way to prove that something has been deleted once exchanged (i.e. they aren't two people using one liscense).

I give all fair warning here. DO NOT ask for reg codes or full copies in this forum.

The problem with this plan is it's very close to being piracy (and will be in some cases, as some EULAs only let you install on one device and not transfer the data). With the way that software is supplied for the 9210 (a download), you can't be sure that the person distributing it is really deleting the file afterwards. If the software was supplied on old cartridges like some Psion 3 series software was it would be do-able.

1 Problem Most software for 9210's are licenced to the IMEI, so swapping them won't work anyway.

1 Solution I know where you can trade to get Extended Extra's, www.psiloc.com, they will trade you eExtras for emm.... money!!!
