I keep on reading about new firmware everywhere.
Where can i find the latest n80 firmware and a list of present and past versions?

Worked fine for most people here, just follow the guide exactly and should be fine.
This seems to be the latest available to DIY.

If you dont have any problems and you are happy with the phone, then dont upgrade.

They are the two programs you need to upgrade your firmware yourself with the usb cable you got with your n80. But if you have no pproblems you dont really need to update it really.
will i loose manufacture warrenty or like will it affect me in anyway with the network i puchased it with (voda uk) in the future if anything goes wrong with the phone if i upgrade the FW now??
Id say you would lose the waranty if they knew you did flash it yourself,
but if your worried about that just bring it to a nokia centre ant get them to flash it.
I've got firmware version 3.0617.0.6 ; RM-92 ; Nokia N80 (09) and i've noticed this annoying bug:
In Services > Settings > Access Point i have set "Always ask", because i want some applications to use the wap access points and others the internet access point. Usually when a certain application tries to connect to the internet, the phone shows me a list of available access point, like this:
* Search for WLAN
* Orange MMS
* Orange Internet
* Orange WAP
Well, the problem is that sometimes it would only show me "Search for WLAN" and this bug never goes away without a hard-reset 😞 I have to backup my contacts and messages and hard-reset the phone! I don't know how to reproduce this bug, it happens ocasionally once every few days.
If i manually set an access point it works, but not for java applications. In java apps it would still show me "Search for WLAN" even if i've manually set the apn. That meaning i can't really use java apps when this occurs without hard resetting the phone and that's really dumb of Nokia.
I saw that the latest fw version is 3.0617.0.9, but i'm a little worried about upgrading... first of all i'd like to know if it will fix this bug (or others)... And what is the localization of this firmware? Does it contain east-european languages?
Thanks in advance for any replies and sorry for my bad English.
