I sometimes get the message "Gateway can not be found" but it usually sorts itself out and eventually I can reconnect.

What message are you getting and what are you trying to connect to?

I'm om O2 connecting to a Wanadoo Livebox.

Did you make the connection manually, or did your phone do it automatically, before this problem the phone always did this automatically ...

erm, well it finds the wireless to start with automatically, then i defined it and changed the name i fink, then left it! workin fine now..

yes my friend had that problem, f*cking networks, you have to set the phone to always ask

when you try to connect cancell the connection when it tries to connect through orange internet then options > settings > access point > change to always ask,

then you can choose which access point to connect through next time you try 😊

ok, done that andit asks, tehn i put my security thing in but then it says

WPA authoriastion failed

how can i solve this???

Hi Cash,

I can access my WLAN when I define it but when I set the phone up to "always ask" the access point I've set up isn't shown? It's a real pain having to go in and define the access points for the browser, email and eMSN everytime I want to access my wireless broadband at home. Any ideas?

😊

do you have latest firmware, I seem to remeber there was an issue with wifi with the old firmware, but that may have been a memory issue.

Also I have found that if the wifi strenght isn't too good, for me below 35 - 40% sometimes the access point doesnt show up when I am searching.

My firmware is V 3.0614.0.3

My wifi strength is 80%

:con?

I need help with this problem too...

My firmware is: V 3.0617.0.6

I go to define access point, change name, exit, then try to access the web and it says "cannot find WLAN etc..." i have a cable/wireless router and the access point says C&W(8) - so these access points are going somewhere???

Can anyone do a step by step guide pretty please (i am new 😃) also is there a "reset factory settings?"...

Thanks!

maybe u have something that its cutting the signal of the wifi acces to ur n80 phone like a 2.4 GHZ home phone. do u have any other computers using wifi???.
