can someone please help me i am trying to configure my ntlworld email on my nokia n80 using profimail.
everytime i try and send and rec i get error 535 invalid user id or password i have enabled smtp authenication
but i am now losing the will to live i am am using smtp of o2.co.uk as i am on o2 uk i am deleting and re entering my details but still no avail
where does error 535 relate to
has anyone else configured there ntlworld email to work with profimail send and receiving via 02
Hi Gazza, i dont have an ntlworld account but heres some info ive found for u:
SMTP error: 535: incorrect password or account name- might be worth double checking your login details
looks like your mail server settings should be like this for ntlworld:
Address Format
[email][email protected][/email]
Outgoing Mail Server
Type: SMTP
Address: smtp.ntlworld.com
Incoming Mail Server
Type: POP3
Address: pop.ntlworld.com
I could not ever get Profimail to work w/ my N80. Try using Roadsync. It works great.
If you're on an O2 monthly contract, then your SMTP settings should be
Outgoing mail server: smtp.o2.co.uk. Make sure on the Advanced settings tab that SMTP authentication is NOT ticked, ie disabled.
Hope this helps. I've been using Profimail on my N80 and it works a dream. Love it. Not quite Push Email, but as good as with the scheduling capabilities.
