I got a 9110 so I could use the various features of the communicator. I was therefore disappointed to find that the Nokia Car kit, just gave me a "big brick" phone, and took away my communicator.
I want to be able to use the 9110 as part of a mobile office, and as a 4wd user, need the antenna for the extended range.
Having purchased a 9110 car kit on eBay for 50% of the RRP I felt that I could 'afford' to consider some minor mods to the Nokia car kit.
After introducing the phone holder to Mr Dremmel, I am pleased to report I now have a working communicator, connected to the aerial, power supply etc.
For those interested I took some photos and these can be found at:

I've been lazy and simply put them up as photos without any explanatory text, as people interested in 9110, are smart and clever and don't need such explanations.
Hopefully this may be of use to other members.
At the moment the position in the Land Rover looks a little cramped, but the 9110 doesn't get in the way-I'll probably consider moving somewhere else but have other things in the way that limits my options.
