New N70 - Hotmail + display questions

Hi - just got a new N70.

A couple of questions:

* I currently use Hotmail Plus with Outlook on my PC and am aware that this does not use standard internet e-mail protocols (POP3/SMTP/IMAP) to send/receive. On the Nokia support site, one can download 'advanced settings' for e-mail via an SMS and this service includes Hotmail for my operator. However, I have recieved the text, saved, etc. but cannot find the settings. Is it posible to get Hotmail working (without an internediary service or web browser)?

* On some e.g. menu selections, a white line/bar momentarily flashes, as if redrawing the display. This is consistent with the selection and e.g. may be the height of the option/field being selected. As not totally random, I suspect that this is soft/firmware-related and not necessarily hardware. Have others noticed this -is this normal?

For info, firmware is V 5.0609.2.0.1 / 1.3.06 / RM-84

Thanks for any help!

Got an answer from Hotmail support on the e-mail question - not posible at present. Searching through AAS shows third-party services (if you don't mind giving out your password, etc.!) but not sure if these are still available.

The other question/issue only seems to appear on certain fields e.g. setting up a mailbox so suspect that it's soft/firmware - any comments would be helpful.

Thanks - I was lookng for a way to send/receive and e.g. work offline. Has anyone had experience of the 'advanced settings' available from the Nokia site (although Hotmail support have since advised this is not possible ... you never know)?

On the display question (please try yours and post results), I find that e.g. on Tools/Settings/Phone/Standby mode - if I scroll through the options for Left or Right selection key quickly, a white line sometimes 'flashes' across the display. Is this normal?

Any responses appreciated!
