Hi
Is there any way to boost the signal on the N80 as I seem to have very poor reception on 3G and GSM at home on vodaphone, despite vodaphone coverage maps showing it should be fine
Thanks

Quite a few people have complained that the signal strength on the N80 is not as good as other phones they have, I dont seem to have a problem myself, and I am not sure if there is anything that can be done by yourself.
A firmware upgrade from Nokia could possibly correct this if Nokia see it as a problem, but I dont think there was a fix for this in the last firmware.

Hi
Do the "Cell antenna" stick on things they sell on ebay actually do anything or are they a con?
As often I can only get 0-2 bars signal at home even locked to GSM, vodaphone say my area should be fine and that they have no problems with any of the antenna near me. Within 1/2 a mile I can get a full 3G signal.
I had to return my last N80 on 3 as I had no signal at work, it looks like I will have to return this one as well unless anyone else has any bright ideas.
Thanks
well i had one of those Cell antenna booster, but i didnt notice any diference
Some years ago, the phones have one acessory to boost the signal, something like a big antenna - some Ericsson phones had that. Today, I dont see that kind of acessory. Or because is useless, or the sales was flat.
Dx,
I seem to remember somewhere about a fw upgrade and the signal strength, maybe it was one of the earlier versions I was thinking about ..
mmm, i dont really remember, ill give it a look on the upgrade history, ill c wut i can find

well i got my n80 with voda but it already had generic software coz it was the first batch and they prob didnt have time to brand it b4 release, i flashed it with the latest generic version that ends with .6, my n80 has been fine since!
😊 Un easy signal booster, software upgrade!
