I am coming from the Windows Mobile world and as apppalling as it sounds I really liked it but due to the lack of flip phones I saw the N90 and found it amazing except for the fact that it wasn't WM. I can live with that fact if I can get a few things straight:
1. Is it compatible with mini-SD or does it use rs mmc?
2. Can you sync your contacts with Outlook?
3. Thanks to TCPMP on WM phones you can play almost any type of file, is the same true for the N90?
4. Does the N90 have a program to edit Word and Excel files?
5. How good is the calendar program (compare to Papyrus which was an excellent prog) and can it sync with Outlook?
6. Any good nes emulators (vs SmartNES)?
The answer to these questions will help me decide if I want to invest in this phone or not. Otherwise most like I will get an Sp5m, Thanks in advance, Farhan.
1. I think the N90 uses RS-MMC
2. Yes
3. TCPMP is due on Symbian soon. You can use other software too
4. No only view. Edit through third party software - Quickoffice.
5. You may find it lacking. Syncs with Outlook. Papyrus is available for the N90.
6. vNes
So is rs mmc interchangeable with mini sd?
And one last question: Does the n90 have arabic support?
A device that can handle full-size SD cards, will also read MMC or RS-MMC cards.
A device that handles MMC or RS-MMC only, will not be able to take either SD, microSD or miniSD cards.
For Arabic support I presume you should buy an N90 with Arabic language built-in (e.g., from UAE or some other such country where they're available). Nokia does not support any kind of user-installable "language packs" for any current phone, as far as I'm aware.

Couldn't you just download the appropriate firmware?
