Having just bought a 9300i to replace my trusty Psion Revo I was surprised to find no top toolbar in the Word application. Even more surprised not to find one in Documents To Go. Is there some reason for this? Is there a view command that I've missed? Also there's no printing option in Documents to Go at the moment. Is that because it's still in the trial period? I really like what I've seen of my 9300i so far but I'd love to have a more fully featured Word app, am I missing something?

For the time the Revo was well more advanced that it is current 9300i. These and athors oppositions do not make of it a great device.
I'm not sure that I go along with that. I think it depends very much on which aspects of the unit's functionality and features you value. If you need connection and communication (Communicator?) the Revo was streets behind both locally and in the broader sense. At the risk of regurgitating a platform war, for me I can tell you that even with the current drive towards S60 and the 'dropping' by Nokia of the 9500, I dabble with S60 devices but always come back to S80. Don't be disheartened Tim G - you have a fabulous machine which will do loads of stuff for you - far in excess of S60 (at the moment) and actually, though you may find odd exceptions, if we're talking about the machine as a whole, even the Revo.
Incdentally, I'm not really sure what nj7's last sentence said/means but am guessing!

Documents to Go is a weird program. It lacks some features standard 9300 programs have. For example, when you press the 'Chr' key, nothing happens. In EVERY other program pressing that key allows you to enter special characters. So, unless you always write in English, you're going to find Documents to Go a very irritating program. I have to cut-and-paste from another application to get special characters in, but even then, it seems DtG doesn't support them all. A lot of them get displayed as a little white box. (The program does allow you to enter the character if you happen to know the right code, e.g. CTRL-190 for the '3/4' character. Still, a lot of characters aren't supported, especially foreign-language characters with special diacritical marks.)
I too find the omission of a 'PRINT' function exasperating. Where the program's creators simply too lazy to include it? Also, although footnotes, endnotes etc are supported, they are only supported in a limited way. You can view them and edit them, but you can't create them. For that you need to go back to your PC. That means for me that the program is really quite limited as a word processor, and belies the creators' claim that "Documents To Go for Symbian Series 80 is a revolutionary application that allows you to use, edit and create actual Microsoft Word and Excel files" (from their website).
I will say this. At least Dataviz made the effort to release a S80 version of their product - many software companies do not, I assume because the market is rather limited.
Incidentally, I notice that they have not released a new version of their product for at least a year. I notice quite a few software companies are very slow to release new S80 versions (if they do at all) - could that be because they view the platform as, to all intents and purposes, obsolete?
