Did you know the N80 battery comes in 3 capacity sizes

820mAh or 860mAh - Nokia offical battery as specc'd from Nokia themselves

760mAh - Official Nokia and third party battery as sold by third party

Go figure...

Haha .. not a cruzade anymore..I give up with the battery problem and hand it over to somebody else 😊..I just thought it was a funny piece of info 😊..

I will just live with the battery untill it gets sorted or another phone comes out that I like 😊.

I am pretty sure it wont take sony long to bring out something that will beat the N80..

Or maybe N73 - less voluminous of what N80, better camera, without Wi-Fi..., but, with 1100 mAh battery... Or the new gadgets in the Christmas...😎

N93 much better, wifi enabled, better camera, hifi video, tvout uPnP omg i want it lol 😃

oh, wow. I hadn't heard of that one. Looks pretty awesome. Tho if i was gonna buy a phone with a hard disk I would have bought the N91, not the N80.

When I bought my first phone, I said, my next phone must play MP3s (although I then bought a 6600), then I said my next phone must have WiFi, so I bought the N80. Now my next stipulation is DVB-H support, meaning it must be able to show digital TV. I think the N93 does it, but by the end of my contract there will probably be enough phones with that capability.

And who said the n83 is coming out in December ?! 2006 !!?! wasn't it supposed to Q2 2007 ?!?!

Hold on... roughly speaking... last year 1mpx... this years 3.2mpx... early 2007 5mpx... So what happens in 5 years time? 250 mpx cameraphones ??! HD-TV quality filming? Expresso with cream with a tad of cinnamon?

... well, I am actually a gadget-junky, but I really think I will settle down a bit when I get a 25+ fps filming phone, that is small enough not to announce it's presence like the n93... damn shame n73 is 15fps and no wifi... if it were, no need to launch the n83.

i doubt SE bringing anything that can compete with the N80 soon. Perhaps Nokia will do it 😉

Did anything happen to you Cash, with a faulty or crappy battery?

What are the dangers with these, I mean... if I get a desktop charger, you know, the ones that charge your extra battery... there is no risk of leakage, and as far as the little I know 😊 leaking only occurs while charginr, ergo, strainning it until it "blow up" due to excess heat and voltageand stuff...?

If you have a crappy quality battery in use in the phone, would it leak or otherwise damage the phone?

I do believe Nokia is prime in quality, but I also believe there are batteries out there that are not mAh scams or tech-spec-tricked. I guess it's just a matter of trustworthyness...

I am just worried about leackage and damage, otherwise I wouldn't mind shipping in one or two to compare... anyone have two cents...?

From what i know the ebay batteries are worse than Nokia's own batteries despite the 1,200 mah label. Someone posted a link showing how bad they were in tests.

Surely there aare some really good 3rd party batteries?
