N80 display damage

Hi,
I got my N80 bit more than month ago. Everything was greate, it was working fine til one day I just took it out of my pocket to have a glance the time and something wierd had happened...display looked like I had hammered it. Displays liquid cristal had just floated away from one point of the display like it had taken a hard hit, however it had been safe in my pocket all the time and Im sure it hadnt been squezeed or anything. Wierdest thing was, that the uper layer of display (the glass) was unscrached.
Well, I took it to the repair central, where I got hit by unother disturbing surprise (not only having to pay 100 EUR to repair a brand new 600 EUR phone). My N80 was sent back from Nokia Estonia repair central with a claim, that changing the display is pointless as phones printing plate (Ive got no idea, whats its name in English, but I think its supposed to be a chip working like a graphics card for PC) is damaged.

Well, there comes the point of my story: Is it possible to replace that chip?

They didn't.
Well, though they weren't supposed to eather, as I suspect they operate in style "why to use brains, when we have paper". It was written in black and white on the "paper", that they are only supposed to replace the display, nothing else.
Well, to be honest I didn't personally communicate with Nokia service, I took the phone to my operator and they took it to Nokia...
As my operator ain't very cooparative I hope to get answer from here before turning to them again...I sent e-mail to a service listed at Nokia.com as official repair center, but quite frankly I don't expect to be answered in less then week from there :\

It does not go you to liven up very, but also I do not have a very positive opinion of the assistance service. It almost only serves for Software Upgrade. When it is something more elaborated, usualy they are bad!
