Playing mpeg or avi from the Net — Nokia N80 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

Hi All,

I would like to play some mpegs or avis from a well known internet TV type (YouTube) site,
in both the supplied browser and Opera for mobile it tells me that it cant find flash player or that javascript is disabled.

I vaguely recall from a post a few months ago that you had to fire flash player up and then go to the site you wanted to view, as this stuff is streamed. does anyone have any hints/tips on how to stream it to the phone??

You cant stream flash media content to the N80 because you only have flash lite 1.1 and its not capable of doing this, when flash lite 2 is released for the N80 then it may be possible

Yeah, pretty much every flash site you go to will be incapable of being read by your phone. Only Flash Lite. I created a little ditty in Flash for you guys to upload to your phone to check to see that flash works.

Had to be zipped, but unzip it and bluetooth it to your phone.
