I'd love to be able to do this with mobipocket. It's a beautifully designed app & with the new wifi phones it makes a lot more sense to update your news feeds each morning, for free, before leaving the house.
Unfortunately the last time I looked, the PC component was just that, a 'PC' only piece of software. Is this still the case?
Shocking that they make a mobile app that's supported on an incredible number of platforms ( http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/DownloadLinuxStep1.asp ) but the other half of their set up is windows only. Effectively cutting off everyone else from it's news functionality.
A great shame.
Hi all, it's me Antony.
Recently I upgraded to the WordPress 2.0.3 and did some cleanup.
For some reasons, some "old" stuff appear as "new" in some RSS readers.
Many of them are already obsolete, including this one (MobiPocket Reader).
So sorry for the incovenience... 😞
Having just got a new S60 phone, I was keen to try this out (though I do remember problems using mobipocket on a WM pda); however the Mobipocket website has apparently been down "for maintenance" since August 15th, and no-one seems to know what's going on.
Are there now any other similar offline news-gatherers? (I used AvantGo on WM, but there is no pass through option on the S60v3 version.)
Ok, whatever the cause, the mobipocket site is now back online, so I've grabbed the PC program, and I think I'm happy now. 😊
