Hi all,
new to this forum and smartphones in general.
Recently followed the instructions here to enable my phone to access the net via Bluetooth and my PC connection.
However, I uninstalled gnubox at one stage and reinstalled it. When I did, the newly-created Access Point called 'Bt' disappeared from my Tools-->Settings-->Connection-->Access Point List, but it is still in my system. I can't edit it or create another AP with the same name.
Anyone know how I can remove this hidden AP from my phone?
Thanks,
V.
PS Using PC Suite to restore backed up phone settings didn't work :/
install FExplorer ans search it!! 😉
Yes, wiht FExplorer, search for Process - And end the open process!
Yeah, I have FExplorer (it was the first app I installed when I got my phone). But I've had no luck figuring out where connection settings are stored.
Anyone know?
OK, I've resolved the issue.
Posting the solution here in case anyone follows Techfreak's instructions to route their home internet connection over Bluetooth.
The problem was due to GNUBox.
When you select "install records", it hides the access point Bt from your phone settings.
This isn't undone when you uninstall the app.
If you wish to undo the changes, you need to select Install-->Delete Records within GNUBox before you uninstall it.
This will delete the connection Bt, so if you want to redo/edit the procedure, you'll have to recreate Bt.
Cheers,
V.
I wanted to use the Bt access point with the builtin SyncML application. Is there a way to do this ? I've tried to set the syncml access point to "Bt" after doing a "delete records" in Gnubox and Syncml happily let me choose the Bt AP but, when I recreate the Bt access point with a new "install records", syncml loses his AP settings. Is there a way to make the syncml setting "read-only" ? Or maybe a different syncml client for n70 smartphones ?
Thank you
