I went through the firmware upgrade for my N80 per the instructions provided on these threads. Got to the last step of flashing and when asked to power the phone and click start I was unable to reboot the phone. Took out battery and now just get white screen. Live in the US so I cant take to service center.
What do I do????

goto howardforums.com into the s60 section and theres a post about flashing a dead fone
I tried following the instructions to flash a dead phone but Phoenix did have the FLASH DEAD PHONE USB as the instructions called for.
hiya,
there currently is no way to flash a dead N80 using the hacked phoenix 2006. Believe me... i have tried.
If someone manages to fully hack phoenix 2006, ie: not using the phoenix 2004 dlls which is what it is currently using, then this might become reality, but nothing yet.
Your best bet is to find a nokia service centre OR find someone who has some phone flashing hardware such as a J.A.F box to reflash the phone for you.

ppl on howard forums have flashed there dead n80s with succes using phoenix
It takes more time, but you can send a phone by mail to a service point... But maybe, it lost the garantee, so is not a free intervention, but a pay one!
hiya,
Well thats what i did with my dead N80. (hanging at white screen symptom)
I sent mine off to www.fonefunshop.co.uk (srry for the plug, just well impressed by them), and they returned it the next day all fixed and with the latest firmware... Also all my apps, contacts, themes etc.. where all still on the phone... All this for 15ukp.
Cant beat that, so any uk users which end up with a dead flash you know where to send it 😉 Really good service.
I spoke to my NSC, they took the phone and had no clue and said they would send it off to repair... Dread to think how long that would of taken... zzz
CFW told me the best they could do is send me a replacement, but had to wait min 4 weeks... zzz

I was not unable to flash with Phoenix so I sent my N80 to get flashed in the US to a place in Boston called iunlock.com. They turned it around the same day and it came back with the new firmware.
