Carkits Oem and Nokia

Has anyone managed to get thier N80s working with ANY car kit over a bluetooth connection?

And by working I mean - staying connected and transfering phone book.

I have completely failed to get mine to work (bug free) with my Audi Oem BT kit, and it would seem that a number of other users over on the nokia discussion forum are having problems with Nokia manufactured kits and other third party kits.

Is it something to do with being a smart phone? (which conversely does not support AT commands). Seems like other Smart phones (ie. the orange one) running symbian os is also ahaving connection difficulties

okay I'll give it a try - but I doubt it'll fix the connection dropping in and out.

Do you have you phone sleep enabled with the Parrot kit?

Also I've been watching the connection over bluetooth to my laptop and it seems to only connect fully when its transfering stuff - other wise it defaults to unconnected but the laptop remains connect - ie. green icon. works fine though

Maybe my carkit does not have this "low" background connection facility?

tried this and it didn't work. Looks like its working ie. transfer bar activity but no contacts appearing in the car directory. Guess this one only work with kits which emulate the nokia one?

Thanks anyway.
