N80 and Outlook synchronisation

I'd be grateful for some advice about a potential N80 purchase. My primary requirement is good syncing functionality with Outlook. I must be able to get my contacts and appointments synced with the phone with the minimum fuss.

The best syncing product I have used (in over 16 years of using palmtops) is Palm Hotsync but unfortunately I find the form fact of the Treos a bit to big for my liking so I am looking for something else.

I have tried WM SE and WM5 smartphones and the thing that consistently lets them down is Activesync which Microsoft seems to want to degrade with each new version. I dread to think what it will finally end up like in Vista.

My mate, who owns a N70 swears by Nokia Data Suite and says it is dead easy but as he lives about 200 miles away from me I can't actually see it working and satisfy myself.

I want a smartphone where I literally press a button and voila all my contacts and appointments are synced. I should add I need to do this in the office and my home (e.g. seperate copies of Outlook kept in sync through syncing the phone at either end).

Is the N80 likely to satisfy my primary requirement? If the phone can sync via WiFi even better although I am reluctantly happy to do it via Bluetooth if I must. Avoiding cables would be perfect.

If anyone can let me have their opinions I'd be very grateful

Thanks

LouisB

Yes Nokia pc suite should do the job you want. It also syncs email and notes too. You can just choose what you want synced. PC suite can also log your text messages etc. making it handy too.

Not sure about Wifi but i know bluetooth works. Nokia's Sync feature is built into their pc suite.

for the latest version. Its a free download for Nokia users. There are other options too but they invlove some form of cost or internet usage.
