Sometimes when i get an SMS message and try to open it I get a warning like "The message is incomplete" and then an exclamation mark and an "Access denied" message.
Rebooting the phone solves the problem for reading the particular message once, but the only solution that lasts for a few more messages is backup/init/restore. Older messages can still be opened. Any suggestions? Latest firmware I believe - UpdateService_Inst_2.6.4.9.exe.
M600i - SMS - "Access denied" problem
I think I have tracked it down to messages from Siemens M65 only. Strange. Is there anyone out there who have received messages from such a phone?
Even more strange - it seems to happen with one particular phone number, independent of phone model.
😡 Did you find a solution for this problem? even i got the same error when i was trying to read an sms : this message is incomplete - acces denied! After that my phone completely blocked, i couldnt go back to the main menu. So i just rebooted and deleted the message. Then when i wanted to make a phone call to the same person i got the message from, my phone gave me the same error , acces denied, allthough i did get connected. This only happened to one particular number. Then when i rebooted once more, everything was fine. I called sony ericsson but they didnt have a clue. I ve only been using this phone for a week. Hope this error doesnt occur again. Do you think it would help to download the software update on the sony ericsson website? Plz let me know wheter you were able to find a solution for this problem or not. Thanks
I used to have the same problem. There seemed to be something wrong with one of the contacts that I imported from my old phone. I just had to delete that particular contact and make a new one. No more problems :icon14:

i have just recently started to have this problem with a friends number, never had any trouble before with that number.
A related problem seems to be that my friend only show up as a number when he calls, the contact name and picture are now gone!
I have tried deleting and making a new contact, but that doesn't work.
Seems as though the number is cursed!
