Connecting to WiFi

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have no idea about WiFi as I use a regualr wire broadband connection in the house and have had no requirements to connect to a WiFi connection before.

Any, a few questions:

How do I know if I will be charged to connect to a particular WiFi connection?

How exactly do I connect to a WiFi network, say in an airport or coffee shop?

How do I ensure that no-one will be able to access the data on my phone if they are using the same WiFi connection?

Is there an "idiot's guide" available for this!!?!?!?
Hope someone can help - I've looked through other WiFi threads but they just seem to boggle me. 🙄

1. You cannot really be charged for using an open Wireless network.

2. Open the 'Web" app, follow the prompts, and it will search for a connection automatically using EasyWLAN. If it doesn't go into the Settings menu for the Web app and change the Default A.P to Always Ask.

3. You don't

4. It's in the Nokia manual that came with the phone
