There's a good and very detailed review up at Mobiledia.com, and it has an overview of all the features here. which is nice for the newbies who've had it so hard lately 😉
[p800] Good review
They could be a bit more precise keep saying "VGA touch screen" (since when 208x320 is VGA?), uses memory stick (Memory Stick DUO not equal to memory stick), under "Application features" states "Microsoft Word/Excel/.." (instead of MS file READERS).
People might get inacurate perception of the P800 from this review.
Still a prototype unit reviewed but nice to see once again statement "...expect the first wave of P800s to hit shelves before Christmas.
"
By the way being almost out, don't you think it is strange that no reviews of non-prototype (comercial) units show up?
Also they did say it has 4090 colours whilist it's 4096 (but 6 colours don't really make a different (unless one of those six is black and white, and blue and green and :P) but when were there over 1000 colours? Personally i only know about 10 😃 there's black and white and...and..and.. thats about it (no! I'm colour blind!!!) :P)
But they have cool screen shots though, they just need to be a little more precise. 😉

Don't know, maybe it is a little strange, but if they delay it for two months or so again, it will be really damaging to their image and I think the p800 sales as well.... I think that the latest prototypes are really close to the real thing, because you hardly hear of any bugs or flaws....
Its perhaps not all that strange that there aren't many reviews yet. People may well be under NDA.

Hmm, Dazler is writing a review isn't he? Is he under an NDA? Doe he have a prototype or a commercial unit? He probably can't tell, can he? 😉
Dazler hasn't got one, but has seen and used one.
Wer're trying to sort out some P800 stuff for the site, but its a slow business.

 Make that really slow (Not our fault though)
Hi chaps,
Apologies in advance for what may be a silly question, but I caught the following statement in the review that got me a little worried:
Contacts is where you can see all the people youve come into contact with and the information youve associated with them. You can store up to 1000 contacts depending on your memory. With each contact you can add 8 phone number, e-mail, web page, and home and business addresses.
Now, I was assuming of course, that like most other PDAs, one would be able to use up to the maximum amount of internal RAM to store contacts, or to use an external memory storage medium (i.e. the Memory Stick Duo), which would allow an unlimited number of contacts. Could someone tell me if this is the case for the P800? Or did someone decide to limit the number of contacts to 1000 - i.e. a large number for a mobile phone, but far too few for a true PDA...
Many thanks in advance for any info.
Best,
CM
nice info, thanks
I don't think there will be a limit to the number of contacts you can store, i've heard nothing about it.... Maybe it is: 1000 + anything up to available memory???
One more *imprecision*
the reviews says "Predictive text input"...
we all know this is not the case.
Definitly not my reference review.
The review on noir has been finished and can be found here:
So, can I store 4000 contacts on P800? If so, what is the storage request?

I don't know what the current limit on adresses/data is, but since the P800 basically is like any computer once there's a program that can store data only the amount of free space is the limit..
ie even if there's a 1000 limit right now, another adress program/manager will fix this
I also read the review, I also wondered what was the reason for the 1000 limit ?
Did anybody really find out whether we can store more contacts?? How was this done??

Does anyone know how to fix the 1000 contact limit issue? I have about 7000 contacts which I can not synch to the phone! Any help before I return this?
