E70 LED for non-blackberry email

Hi,
i have configured my gmail account to download my emails automatically. It works and i get a msg on the screen but the LED doesnt light up. Does it only do this for blackberry or am i doing something wrong?

It's a HW bug... may be going to be fixed in the next ROM flash... but I'm not sure if that's going to happen.
