Hi,
Just got my N80 after much deliberation between w800i and N80 but the wi-fi option is just too cool to not have.
I am however struggling to send music files over my home network between my mac and n80. I have managed to do this using soonr application but you can only do 1 track at a time. Orb isn't mac compatible yet so cannot use that.
Can anyone help me here? I have searched but couldn't find a solution?

hi
I have an intel imac and I use the bluetooth. The mac recognises the N80 and moves all files , music or pictures so easily. Its great

I can get it to move via bluetooth but it is slower than wifi so was hoping to find a way to transfer a full album or just big files via wifi.
Guessing there isn't yet and I have to use the cable connection?
Anyone got cool apps to use the wifi with?
Using Shozu and Soonr with wifi now due to data charges and wondered if anyone else knew any others that can really make use of wifi?
first of all..which "mac" have you got? I have an MacBook and use the iSync software to transfer my files.
I'd personally use the bluetooth for now until the software which you want to use becomes available.

As you know (saw your post at the nokia support website) you're not alone. I believe there's no solution for wifi browsing at the moment. Bluetooth, as many have suggested, is extremely slow and soonr won't do the job... It's time for Nokia to release a OSX Suite for the N series (dream on...)

Hmmm That willl be the day. I can sort of understand why they haven't but it is really annoying that I cannot make use of WiFi the way that I want to.
Soonr would be okay if you could select more than one track at a time but it starts to get a bit confused if you try to do too much.
Oh I got an ibook G4 if that makes a difference? Cannot see that it would?
Hi,
I currently have a G5 iMac and a Sony Ericsson K700i.
I'm due an upgrade and am swithering between an N80 and the new Sony Ericsson W850i due out soon.
At the moment I use bluetooth to transfer files between my phone and mac and keep my address book up to date using OnSync.
I also use Salling Clicker to control my mac from my phone.
So I'm happy with what I get from Sony Ericsson, I want you guys to convince me to move to Nokia.
Thanks

just got a mac book pro and loving it, but my i sync says the n80 is not compatable. is there anyway to transfer more than one file at a time. want to do a back up before flashing with fw v4:con?
Ob1, do a search on this forum for iSync plugin, should be still there
To the main poster, if your mac is of the intel variety, have you tried using the software Parallells to run a windows app from within OSX? You might have some luck that way :icon14:
If you own a N80, N73 or a Nokia 8800 Sirocco edition. Then you will be aware that it is not currently supported in iSync.
By installing the modified files I have made, this is now possible. Get the free plug-ins for N73, N80 and 8800 sirocco edition. Here.

-Ive had no luck doing multiple file transfers over wifi on pc either (again other than soonr etc) nokias pc suite doesnt help here! -in fact the pcsuite doesnt do much, -your not missing out on anything!
You dont want to use USB?
My macbook mounts my N80 in mass storage mode. It was really unstable but I believe the new firmware helped the issue.
Mass storage mode is the way to go for this, it's drag n drop and let it finish! It's been working good for me.

Yes, firmware v 4 changed almost everything in this area. I've had some, but much less, problems with the usb conncetion on my Mac in 4. They were somewhat similar but basically different.
