Playing MP3's

Is there a typical format that an MP3 has to be to play on my N70, when I go into tracks and select certain MP3's it goes back to the main phone screen..

Any ideas

As you can see, with the latest firmware at v5.0616.2.0.3. an ID3 tag crash problem was fixed.

If your phone s/w is current then try using an application like ID3 TagIt or Media Monkey on your PC and wipe the tags and start again. I've had a couple of tracks like that and it's been down to corrupted ID3 tag data.

No ID3 tags will result in the file name being displayed instead of the Artist/Track but it will still play.

Apart from that, the phone will play any bitrate MP3, but about 128 is best for quality vs space.

Cheers,

Chris

Ok, I dont have the latest firmware on my phone (too scared to break it!) I removed all the tags using ID3 TagIt and the music still wont play. Just to confirm the mp3 is an mp3 not WMA and is not protected just incase you were wondering :icon14:

Thanks
