If it does not you can always use the SMSC code that does the same
*NOT# (NOTify)
Not all SMSC do support this but most do.
In my country all 3 operators support the "NOT" SMSC code.
In England Celnet used to do the same with *0#
Example "*NOT#Hello", the recipient will recieve only the "Hello" part and you will be notified when he gets it.
There are many SMSC codes that operator might choose to implement/support or not, they are not a mandatory part for getting a GSM licence
DIFn (DIFerred?) Sends your SMS n hours after you sent it to the SMSC.
CONF (CONfidential) Does not show the senders number (scarsely implemented)
FAX Sends your SMS as a FAX (you are charged more than the standart SMS fee).
You can combine any of these codes using "*" inbetween
"*DIF 3*NOT*FAX#Please put me in your P800 waiting list, thanks"
Using these codes I have been sending FAXes from my mobile since the Nokia2110 times, still impresses many people, never understood why it is so underused.
The best use I give to the "DIF" code is when I want ALL my friends to recieve "Happy New Year" SMS from me simultaneously at midnight sharp and while I am partying with them. (fisrt time was almost spooky having all mobiles around beeping in unison).
