there is problem with my radio reception in my new nokia 3230 . there is no option for shifting to sterio voice or mono. and it automatically shifts either ways according to reception. but problem is that most of times i get mono reception and only after adjusting the handset cable very loosely and properly do i get stereo reception with sound quality improving significantly . why cant i get stereo all the time .(even though radio reception is very good in the area on other devices)
please help anybody

That's because the cable itself acts as antenna, thus moving it will have an impact on reception
but this problem does not occur in quite cheaper sets like 6610 etc which give regular stereo radio playback without needing to align the headset wire to any particular angle. i want to ask if this occurs with all 3230 sets or is only my sets radio reception is not good
Could be also the contacts beween the headset and the phone. But is true what Alex83FE said.
