n80 shud work almost anywere in the world, im sure it will work in canada, u mite have to pay for a sim card tho!

ahh man so does that mean the phone wont work? or im just missing out on some stuff on the phone? and if so what are they....

bummer....😡

It will work for regular calls - you just won't be able to do video-conferences.

So what exactly is this 3g thing? will i still be able to like install msn on it and use wifi? and surf the web? or is the 3g just for vedio conference..??

3G is a faster mobile (cellular) network technology (3G stands for "3rd Generation"😉 with some new services like video calls.

Without 3G, everything except video calls will work, but data connections will be much slower.

Rogers supports GSM (2G) and GPRS packet data (also known as 2.5G). I don't know if they support the slightly faster EDGE (called 2.75G by some). As far as I know, Rogers does not have a 3G (WCDMA, also known as UMTS in Europe) network in place (don't know if they ever plan to).

In any case, an N80 works in Canada on Rogers as a GSM/GPRS phone.
