hi everyone.ive just purchased my n80 on upgrade and have a couple of questions id like answered if pos.
1)when i first put a couple of songs on the phone they come up in the list when i want to change ringtone.now ive added a couple more i cant get the new ones to be visible in the list.any ideas?
2)is there anyway of sending programs to the main menu for use because i have msn installed and always have to go into the 'my own' folder to access it

any help greatfully appreciated

hello!

1) What format are the songs in? I mean, what is their extension bec. not all audio files appear as ringtones........... for example, real audio files (files with that work on real player only with extensions .ra, .ram or .rm). If this is the case then trying using a different song format or converting the ones you currently have using one of the audio converters or encoders.

2) To put programs in the main menu. When on the program's icon chose options--> move to folder, then OK on Menu (or OK on any other file name to move the program there)

Hope this helps..

Bobbaya has your second question there. But to your first, I think it is to do with the way you transfer files. If you do it not using the Nokia transfer program or Windows Media Player, you have to tell the phone to go find your songs.

Go in to the Music Player then Options > Music Library > Options > Update Music Library.
It will then search for all updates to your songs and you are good to go, back out of it and press play. Hope that helps.

Hi knuckleskin, what I understand is that he is saying they don't appear when he wants to change a ringtone i.e. in the profile not in the music player...

yeah cheers for the help people.its not the songs in library i had probs with its having them in the profile set up but i sorted this out by putting them on with pc suite.as for the programs into menu option ill give it a go:icon14:
