How to get files on to the phone?

I have a socket BT card which does not appear to allow file transfer on to the phone from my PC. Does anyone know of another way to get files (other than images) on to the phone?

And I dont see why it would not work with your BT.

if u have your email set up you could always email them to yourself, i used to do it but it started costing me $$$ so i went PC world and brought a USB infrared for 50 quid!!
