Incoming fax - no IR modem

I had an incoming fac call this morning and when I pressed receive, the only option was IR Modem.
I had to cancel as there was nothing lse I could do as I didn't knwo how to connect. I thought the 7650 could receive a fax. Anyone know why this is or what I should do? Settings I need to add.
(Using Orange UK network and I do ahve a fax number from Orange)

7650 can only route a fax call. But u will need to connect to a computer to actually receive it.

but i must connect it first with the computer

btw what program will the fax will be opened with ???

You will need Winfax pro 😊

No Pichu, since faxes are not in .Doc or Txt format. That is why u will need another software. Winfax pro is available for purchage at Symantec. But i'm sure there must be other freeware available 😊
