okay this is kind of about my n80 (Wifi) right now i have 3 computers (desktops not laptops) and my network is all with cable router, i need to get a wireless router so my wifi on my n80 works at home, but my question is that what will i need to connect 3 of my desktops together and beable to use my wifi on the n80.
Kyle.
You could just plug a simple wireless access point into your router and leave everything else as it is. i.e. just use wifi on the N80
can how would i do that? do i have to buy something that goes into my router? and if so what would it be?, sorry about these dumb questions but its first time for me going wireless lol.
Yea you need a wireless router for your n80, and your desktop pcs can connect to the wireless router via ethernet cables (like a big phone line). Most wireless routers ive seen have 4 ethernet outlets. or you can get a wireless adapter for each pc. Mite cost a bit though if you have to buy 2 or 3 of those.
concidering all my computers are already connected with ethernet cables all i need to do is switch my router with a wireless one?

There's not much price difference between adding a wireless access point to your existing router or replacing it with a wireless router with ethernet ports. The replacement option removes the need for another socket and keeps the number of boxes with flashing lights to a minimum.
A couple of quick points to bear in mind if looking for a wireless router. Get one with B & G support, built in security (firewall), WPA-TKIP support, MAC authentication support and twin aerials (better signal) as a minimum. UPnP support is a must if you want to use it with your N80 (for future proofing if nothing else). Configure it to use WPA-TKIP, MAC authentication and not to broadcast the SSID as a minimum.
NB: The type you require will depend on whether you have a cable modem or ADSL - I'm speaking from a cable modem point of view below..
I've installed a lot of Linksys WRT54GS wireless routers for family and friends and use one at home for my 4MB cable connection with with 3 PCs, a Buffalo Home Media Server and my N80. Works well enough - no reboots since installing it a year ago - and seems a lot more reliable than other ones I've had in the past. Signal strength is good (passes through 3 external walls into the garage at the end of the garden without issue.
NB: If you go for a WRT54GS get a v4 revision - avoid the v5 as it's been neutered (reduced RAM and other resources).

so would you do me a favor??
in futureshop.ca if you had to pick the best wireless router there which has all those things you said which would u pick?
Kyle.
THANKs
I'd don't know whether you'll be using a cable modem or ADSL..
I can only really advise from cable modem experience, in which case http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10043626&catid=19994
assuming it's pre-v4 revision of the hardware.
Apparently UK and US have different versions of the hardware, and your v4 was the neutered one according to the consumer reviews..
