NEW Wi-Fi battery SAVING TIP!

My battery wont last for 24hrs even if i dont use Wi-Fi. 😞 That sucks ehh.. any tip for me?

I really don´t know what you can be doing... may be too much use of many multimedia apps ... or too much call time..

and if you are not using the WiFi i pressume that the WiFi it´s set it up to NEVER detect and the WiFi icon is always off...

My Main Battry savings TIPS are:

- Change Network mode to just GSM if you are not using 3G

- Put the Display at just one step of Brightness (if you really need more backlight then change to more)
At night you really don´t need to much backlight on the display, you can put that to lower possition.

- Put the Screensaver on at 1 min.

- Put the Backlight go away after 5 seconds

- Put Sleep mode ON

- Turn off Bluetooth if you are not using it

- WLAN at NEVER show availability

- WLAN Advanced setting ... Automatic Config DISABLE and put TX Power Level at 4mW and Radio Setting Desable

- Don´t leave many apps running at background if you are not using them

Well, i use the phone mainly for txt messaging. I dont call and use any multimedia apps but still it wont last for 24hrs.. its sucks you know.

Also done all that ,except the lower power for the WiFi, Will do that next.
Only use the phone very little no pics, No Music and mainly text.

I have also let the phone go completely dead and charge for 16 hrs whilst OFF 3 times now since the new firmware went on...well its on its 3 charge cycle now....oh well we'll see...

I wouldnt change those settings to be honest, thats going a bit far if ye ask me..
Theres no point having this phone if your going to turn off or reduce all the extras.
If you cant live with 1 day from the phone just get the spare battery or different phone..

Nokia decided it was in the best interest of the Nokia Forum to close the petition thread there.....surprise surprise !!!!!!!

My login to Nokia Forums no longer works. (No explanation of why)

I only made 2 postings, one about the poor battery life on N80 and another which was complaing about something else about the N80...

Seems your face only fits if you praise Nokia and bow down to them!

I can still login, but get loads of grief from a couple of guys on their that think they own the Nokia forum ...haha its pretty pathetic that they keep dissagreeing with everybody that makes a suggestion, they also like to throw insults about also. I go on there sometimes now just to wind these guys up😊

Well I prefer here anyway..the people, and Mods are a much better class of people, very friendly and helpfull and many people have great suggestions and advice 😊..
