Strange Bluetooth issues

I have searched the forum for issues like this one, but did not find the exact answer for my problem. However, if it did appear, sorry for opening this topic again.

So, I have Windows2000 SP2, a Bluetooth USB dongle with Windigo's XTNDConnect Blue Manager, previously 1.0 then 2.0.

I can send and receive files both with the PC and the Phone.

However, I cannot use my Bluetooth Dial-up Connection. The phone number is *99#, and when I press Connect, the phone is trying to initiate the GPRS connection, but the 'G' sign appears for a very short time and then disappears. Meanwhile, the PC says 'Verifying user name and password', then 'Registering your computer on the network'.
Then after some seconds the PC returns an error message saying 'Error 734. The PPP link protocol was terminated.' I tried the same with data call, and the phone disconnects after a second, too.

Second issue is that I can't connect with mRouter, when I select the port for Bluetooth Serial, it says 'The port cannot be enabled. It may be in use by another application.' However, I do not use any other application except for Blue Manager.

What should I do? Dump the USB device and buy a normal one?

What do you mean by bluetooth dialup connection? Are you trying to surf the web by sharing your PCs internet connection in way descibed in a thread here?

No, I'm trying to use the 7650 as a modem for my PC via bluetooth. The Blue Manager creates a GPRS Dialup Connection in Windows.

Heres what you need to do to setup the modem..

goto control panel select xtnd connect blue, bluetooth ports -
select DUN com 7 properties and under default device type your phones mac address (the address displayed in xtnd manager),
then go back to control panel in win2k and select modems you should see your phone slected there under com 7 if not change the properties to a nokia 14.4 pcmcia.
you can now use your phone as a normal modem.. create a normal dial up in win2k and select com7 as your modem.

As for the mrouter problem in pc suite.. I aint had the chance to figure that out yet.. if anyone else knows pls can they post it..

Could I use a bluetooth phone with my computer.. but use the phone as a dailup modem? via bluetooth connect to phone and make phone dailup to like aol?
