Dx
Wait... If you have the N80, dont... Better camera but chubby phone. Maybe if you need better battery! With N80 You can wait for the nest big thing!!!🙄
yep the n93 is HUGE, remember the big n90 last year? n93 is a bit bigger than that, which means its massive!
you might get tired of lugging the n93 around after sometime coz it's really huge. If I were you I'd keep my n80 and just wait for the n83...
Hello, I wrote about this four days ago. Check out my posting "Some thoughts on N80 and N93":
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/49345/
Conclusion is: today I'd have bought a N93, but the N80 definitely has some advantages to consider. Your choice...
It depends on what you like. There are loads of Symbian Nokia to choose from. N90 and N93 are among the highest spec smartphones.
Hey Dx,
I personally wouldnt go for the N93, I dont like the look of it and it is very big, only real benefit I can see over the N80 is the better camera and video, if thats REALLY important then yes maybe go for it, if not and you can put up with the poor battery and camera of the N80 then stick with the N80 untill the "next" N80 replacement comes out... maybe the so called N83 ????? everybody is talking about,
I will wait for that, I have learnt to put up with the shortcomings of the N80, apart from the 2 issues I mentioned above mine seems to work very well (touch wood) and does everything I need.
I cant see me changing mine, although I am thinking of getting a second phone, probably the sony cybershot phone because of the camera.
This brings me onto another point, is it possible to clone a sim card so that I can have one in each phone with the same number, I know I wouldnt be able to have the 2 phones on at the same time, but would be great to not have to change the sim everytime I want to change phones.
For example at night I dont really need to use the smartphone functions of the N80, but I do like to have a camera with me, so I would take the sont out, but in the day I use the smartphone functions quite alot now, and not the camera so much, but the N80 camera is sufficient in daylight, so I would use the N80 in the day.
Will i cant comment on the N93, but avoid N80 im my opinion

Two SIMs with same number is possible, and only depends from network operator. In my case, they call tath "Doble Card".
N93 also has the 3D GPU whch no other smartphone has.
N93 if you want to carry around a brick and/or need a good camera and dont already have one (although there are way better cameras for a cheaper price out there - 3mp isnt really top of the range)
N80 if you want a good phone that is compact and more of a phone than a camera.
The extra CPU horse power in the N93 would be one of the important factors to consider, I feel. We haven't seen any real VoIP (Skype or similar) for the N80 yet (as far as I know), but I know every clock cycle counts with applications like that.
Personally, owning an N80 with all its flaws that didn't show on paper, the N93 looks pretty nice, even if it's brick-like.
( The fact that my N80 currently is somewhere in europe for repair due to sudden death may also affect my judgement a wee bit.🙄 )
Most of all both the N80 and N93 makes me think about how good the next line of S60 phones will be, where us N80 alpha testers and N93 luggage haulers have paid our early adopter price.
