Can i transfer original tones?

8 replies · 1,573 views · Started 04 August 2006

I really like some of the original ringtones and would like to use them else where.
Like the whistle one. I'd like to use it on my PC for email notification.
Is there anyway I can transfer it to my pc?
Thanks
Laurie

Your default ringtones are restricted content and are stored in rom and can not be seen by the built in file system

However if you install Y-Browser - see thread

http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum//forum/thread/42126/

then browse to the Z:/Data/Sounds/Digital/

You will find your ringtones, select the one you wish to send and click Options/File/Send

you will then be given the option to send via Bluetooth/MMS/Email or Infared, havan't tried the other options yet but they send via bluetooth just fine.

What else can be donne with Y-Browser, different from FExplorer?

I used Y-Browser to Copy it from Z: and paste it into E:/
then browsed the phone using my PC and copied it.
Thanks!!! Brilliant program
