You've probably all heard this; but I hold my n80 in a leather horizontal case...and everytime it rings and I reach to take it out it hangs up on the person calling...because I have to kind of mess with it get it out of the case and it auto-answers when the slide opens; then hangs up when I close it again...very annoying.

Any suggestions? I saw some guy put that he bought black duct tape and put it (nobody noticed) on the back of the open slider to add friction. I tried it...and it did add friction....but the tape was getting messy and I took it off quickly. Too ghetto for me, sorry.

I have a bluetooth earpiece on the way and I'm hoping that solves some of the issues. :frown:

on the N80 hold the top left button (options)
and close the phone this way the phone does not hang up

Okay - maybe a bit late to reply to this thread, but I had to lose my posting cherry somehow...

You don't say whether the case you have, uses a magnet to keep it shut. I have read on the web that the N80 uses a magnet system to tell when the slider is open/closed, and therefore some cases are affecting this and causing hang-ups and auto dials.

(technical guys, note...I am just passing on what I have read. If the N80 does not use a magnet system, please feel free to flame 'teh n00b'😉
