Erm, you do know you can do this, right?

Have you considered upgrading the Firmware or taking it to a Nokia Service Centre to get it done for you? Certainly the memory issues were resolved in earlier Firmware.

The only complaints I have about N80 are the battery life and the low light video quality. Other than that, it's been a great phone and certainly a lot better than my old 6600, which was crashing all the time.

With old N80 firmware I got an out-of-memory error maybe once or twice, with v4 there has been no problems.

Yes the slider is a bit loose, but I can live with that.

Nokia states that the phone is an XpressMusic device (http://www.europe.nokia.com/A4164063) - IT'S NOT!;

Yes it is, when updated to firmware v.4

Nokia states that the phone has a 860mAh battery - IT DOES NOT AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!;

Then what does it have, and how do you know about it?

A MUCH, MUCH, MUCH BIGGER CAPACITY BATTERY!!!

I suggest you get one of these and a car charger for INCREDIBLE BATTERY LIFE! 😊

(You know, better battery capacity means an increase in size and weight)

Smartphone doesn't mean that you have to buy additional apps for basic functions like more than 1 minute voice recording etc. And what application will fix the loose slider/battery cover and the low-light video crap?

Well.. I fail to see that point - Its in comparison to buying a PC with Windows XP on it and EXPECTING to have MS Office on there as well as Photoshop etc on there.

A smartphone is meant to be there to be able to install 3rd party apps - to help increase functionality that is not with the value-added features. This helps other 3rd party vendors with business.

All phones have their weaknesses, and N80 has its share in the loose slider and low light video - Software is not there to help, but a hard cover / crystal case has helped with the slider and battery cover (for me anyway, it is more firm once you have it on).

The whole point of my post is.. that people like 3Dot should get their facts CORRECT before writing complaints such as this.
